Biography

2006 - present             Senior Postdoctoral Researcher in the group of Professor Wim G. Meijer. School of Biomolecular and Biomedical Science. University College Dublin, Ireland. Full time. My main duties have been largely on the molecular analysis of the microbial community of the reproductive tract of mares. Supervise, facilitate and support undergraduate and postgraduate students as well as postdoctoral fellows in their research and learning activities. Taking active part in the organization of lab meetings and implementing rotary housekeeping activities. Participate in the financial management of the project, such as organizing purchases, keeping detailed records of expenses and elaboration of reports.

2003 - 2006                 Postdoctoral Researcher in the group of Professor Wim G. Meijer. School of Biomolecular and Biomedical Science. University College Dublin, Ireland. Full time. My main duties in this job were to perform original research aimed to understand the molecular bases of the iron acquisition by the intracellular pathogen Rhodococcus equi and supervise, facilitate and support undergraduate and postgraduate students in their research and learning activities.

2001 - 2003                 Research Associate in the group of Professor Alejandra Bravo. Department of Molecular Microbiology. Institute of Biotechnology. National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), Mexico. Full time. My main duty was to perform research on the mode of action of the Cry toxins of Bacillus thuringiensis against its insect host.

2000 - 2002                 Temporary Lecturer School of Biological Sciences. University of Morelos. Mexico. Part time.

1991 - 1993                 Teaching Assistant, Department of Basic Sciences. Undergraduate first year core module for BSc students. Metropolitan Autonomous University, Mexico.
