| Paul is a lecturer in UCD School of Architecture. He is a Director of the UCD Energy Research Group and a Principal Investigator with the UCD Earth Institute. He is actively engaged in teaching, research and postgraduate supervision in the areas of daylight, sustainable design and building performance. On completing his Degree in Mechanical Engineering he joined Ove Arup & Partners in London where he worked on a range of high profile projects. After developing an interest in sustainable buildings he completed his MSc in 'Energy Conservation and the Environment' at Cranfield University, UK. From there he joined the UCD Energy Research Group where he has been involved in a wide range of both EU supported research and specialist consultancy. Paul's research interests are in the field of daylight in architecture. Specifically, he is interested in the dynamic/temporal behaviour of daylight and the designed space and the human response to changing daylight conditions. |
