Anne Gorman

Senior Tutor

Anne Gorman previously studied Technology before graduating from The School of Architecture UCD in 2002.
She is a visiting critic to CCAE in Cork, DIT Dublin School of Architecture.

Principal of Gorman Architects, Anne has many years experience in practice and has been tutoring and lecturing in University College Dublin in 
design and technology since 2006. 
She previously worked in  Gerry Cahill Architects + Heneghan Peng Architects before setting up on her own in 2008.

Her practice was invited to take part in ¿Open House Dublin ¿ under the theme Big, Small, Global. The project ¿Re-modelled for Light¿ was featured 
in The Sunday Times as part of the publicity for this event and subsequently published in House Magazine.

Anne has recently competed a masters of science in Light and Lighting at University College London. The interest in daylight has grown out of the work of her practice.

Her combined interests in technology, design and education have resulted in a Hand book for Students of Architecture called, Studio Craft & Technique, 
which was published May 2011 by UCD School of Architecture. 

A second edition will be published by Laurence King Publishing London in August 2015.

Research Interests

I am interested in broadening my technical knowledge of light as an enhancement to professional and academic per suits.  Just completed an MSc in Light and Lighting at the Bartlett School of Graduate Studies University College London This interest in light comes out of practice research.
Studies are part funded by Arts Council of Ireland through their Travel and Training Award. 
I am also currently pursuing a Higher Diploma in Teaching and Learning
