Claire took up the position of lecturer and coordinator of UCD's World Heritage Management programmes in 2006.

Currently I am supervising nine MSc students that are tackling heritage issues in Ireland and at international sites including Australia, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Ethiopia, Japan, Uganda and the United Republic of Tanzania.
Projects include:
Assessment of the impact of restocking on socio-economic life of pastoral people and the ecological integrity of Ngorongoro Conservation Area in Tanzania.
Investigating the role of traditional managament practices in the maintenance of biodiversity in St. John's Wood, Co. Roscommon.
An Investigation of the Burren Region as a World Heritage Site
Reconstructed and constructed wetlands and their role in supporting migrant birds from sub-Saharan Africa
Assessing the aquatic conservation values of the Daly River Catchment, Northern Territory, against established assessment criteria under relevant National and International Frameworks
An examination of protection and management mechanisms on Iriomote island in light of proposed future World Heritage nomination
Assessment of status of wildlife corridors in the South and Eastern sectors of the Virunga National Park, Democratic Republic of Congo
