Our laboratory is a pluridisciplinary laboratory focusing on the functions of epithelia. It uses bioinformatics approaches as well as molecular and cellular techniques to study the complete proteome involved in protein secretion and vesicle transport. To achieve this task, we have developed new systems to unravel the secrets of the secretory pathway:
Our ultime goal is to study epithelia functions at the molecular level within artificial epithelial tissues (lung, kidney, gut…) to create optimal conditions for cell biology and molecular approaches as well as drug screening on specifically targeted functions: protein expressing defect (cystic fibrosis, lung), water retention (kidney diseases), tumor formation (Epithelial Mesenchymal Transition EMT, metastasis..) or even infections.
