| Dr. Rory Coffey holds a BAgrSc and MEngSc from UCD. He was awarded his PhD in agriculture from UCD Biosystem Engineering in 2010. The focus of his PhD research was on the modelling of waterborne pathogens in Irish catchments. Dr. Coffey is currently a postdoctoral research fellow within UCD Biosystems Engineering and the School of Agriculture, Food Science and Veterinary Medicine. His research and professional interests include the following topics: water quality control, systems modelling, risk assessment, sustainability, environmental contamination and associated risks. |
Dr. Coffey has recently been awarded EU FP7 funding under the Marie Curie IOF program to integrate the effects of climate change on waterborne pathogenic organisms, and transport of such substances to water sources, using watershed modelling techniques. |
