Biography

Dr. Bruce Martin joined the UCD School of Business as a lecturer in 2012. He earned his PhD in Business Administration from McMaster University in Canada, where he studied entrepreneurship as a means to improve the social and economic conditions of persons with disabilities.  He received his BA and MA from the University of Waterloo, where he studied philosophy with a focus on ethics. 

Bruce's current research activities include studies on motivation, education and performance management in entrepreneurship, social entrepreneurship and non-profit contexts. He has teaching experience in the areas of entrepreneurship, social entrepreneurship, and creativity and innovation.
 

Prior to joining academe, Bruce gained extensive senior management experience with both for-profit and non-profit organizations in Asia, Europe and North America. He has also helped to create new for-profit and non-profit ventures in places as far afield as Vietnam, Israel and Canada.
