Dr. Federica Pazzaglia earned a PhD from the University of
Alberta Business School (Canada) in 2008. Her research interests are in the
areas of corporate governance, behavioral strategy and corporate finance. Her
recent projects are driven by interesting empirical phenomena. Examples include
the Irish banking crisis, accounting practices of family firms, competitive
effects of employee mobility and challenges faced by MNCs competing in
emerging markets. Federica's work appears in journals such as Journal of
Business Ethics, Corporate Governance, Human Resource Management, Human Relations and Canadian Investment
Review.
Prior to moving to UCD she was Assistant Professor at the University of Manitoba Business School (Canada) and Visiting Professor at Instituto de Empresa Business School (Spain). She has taught courses in the Bachelor of Commerce programs at Alberta and Manitoba, in the Master in Management program at Instituto de Empresa, and in the Executive program jointly offered by Instituto de Empresa and Northwestern University. She is the recipient of a Teaching Award and a Dissertation Award from the University of Alberta and of the 2010 Early Career Research Award from the UCD Business School.
