My current research interests are related to Bitcoin, blockchain technology and how consensus is built in the communities surrounding these technologies. I also take an interest in 'alternative,' 'deviant' or 'outsider' organisations and specifically in their digital form (e.g. cybercriminals, dark net markets).

In the past I have worked on the contemporary philosophical movement known as speculative realism. I was previously Research Fellow at the School of Business, Trinity College Dublin and also a lecturer on the Art in the Contemporary World course at the National College of Art and Design.
