My current research interest incorporates both academic research and contract research. The following themes are of particular interest on an ongoing basis: Contingency effects of buyer-supplier relationships on practices and performance. Innovation and product development in supply chains. The relationship between quality management, market orientation and business performance. The impact of telematics on supply chain competitiveness. Benchmarking supply chain practice and performance. Sense and respond: managerial implications
In addition, I lead the following projects:
1. GMRG
I am Principal Investigator on the Global Manufacturing Research Group (GMRG) in Ireland. GMRG was founded by Professor Clay Whybark and has been in existence for 16 years. GMRG is a multi-national community of researchers dedicated to the study and improvement of manufacturing supply chains world-wide. Through systematic study and research throughout the world, GMRG aims to improve manufacturing supply chains through the development of theory and dissemination of results.
