Thillai Sivakumar Natarajan Joined the UCD School of Chemical and Bioprocess Engineering in November 2016 as the Post-Doctoral Researcher in Professor K. Ravindranathan Thampi research group, funded by Irish Research Council through Government of Ireland Post-Doctoral Fellowship. His research interest mainly focused on designing and development of photocatalytic materials and reactors for environmental remediation and energy production applications. Currently, he is working on development of novel visible light photocatalytic materials for solar water splitting (hydrogen production). He finished his B.Sc and M.Sc in Chemistry from Sri Paramakalyani College, Alwarkurichi, Tamil Nadu affiliated to Manonmaniam Sundaranar University, Tirunelveli, Tamil Nadu, India. He obtained his Ph.D., in Chemical Sciences from Academy of Scientific of Innovative Research/CSIR-Central Salt and Marine Chemical Research Institute (CSIR-CSMCRI), Gujarat, India in 2014. Subsequently, he moved to South Korea and worked as post-doctoral researcher at Kyungpook National University for 1 year (Jan 2015-Dec 2015), funded by Brain Korea 21 Program for Leading Universities & Students (PLUS), South Korea. Afterward he moved to Taiwan for post-doctoral research at Chung Yuan Christian University for 6 month (March 2016-August 2016), funded by Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST), Taiwan. He has published 18 research papers and 3 book chapters in top international journals and books.
