I graduated from Trinity College Dublin first in my civil engineering class in 1998 and went on to do a PhD in University College London, where I was in receipt of a British Council Chevening Scholarship and a UCL scholarship. I completed my PhD after 2 and a half years, the topic of which was "The potential impacts of new public transport on travel behaviour In April 2000, while completing my PhD, I started working as a lecturer in Trinity College Dublin's civil engineering department. I worked there for 3 and a half years, during which time I was co-ordinator of the MSc course. In September 2003, I took up a position as a lecturer in the School of Architecture, Landscape and Civil Engineering in University College Dublin and have worked here since that date. |
