Biography

Dr Mark Scanlon is a Lecturer in the UCD School of Computer Science and Informatics. Mark received his BA (Hons) in Computer Science and Linguistics in 2006, his MSc in the area of Remote Digital Forensic Evidence Gathering in 2009 and his PhD in the area of Peer-to-Peer Network Based Botnet Investigation in 2013 (each were awarded from the UCD School of Computer Science and Informatics). In 2009, he was awarded PhD research funding from the Irish Research Council for Science, Engineering and Technology and Intel Ireland Ltd. through the Enterprise Partnership Scheme. His primary research interests include Peer-to-Peer Networks, Digital Forensics and Cybercrime Investigation, Web Technologies, Databases and Analytics.
