Andrew Keane received a B.E. and PhD degree
in electrical engineering from University College Dublin in 2003 and 2007
respectively. He is an SFI Charles Parsons lecturer in the School of
Electrical, Electronic & Communications Engineering, University College
Dublin. He worked with ESB Networks during his PhD research in 2003. In 2008 he
spent time as a visiting research fellow with the Institute for Energy Systems
at the University of Edinburgh. |
| Research interests include power systems planning and operation, integration of distrbuted energy resources and distribution networks. In particular he seeks to address the main network challenges that lie ahead in the transition to a smarter grid. |
