Biography:
Jeremiah O'Dwyer received the B.E. degree in Electrical Engineering from University College, Dublin in 1974 and was awarded the M. Eng. Sc. Degree in 1976. He spent 4 years working for General Electric (GE), first as a design engineer in the Variable Speed Drive Department in Roanoke, Virginia and then in the international commissioning department in a number of locations around the world. In 1981 he returned to Electronic and Electrical Engineering and has been lecturing there since. Mr. O'Dwyer has participated for a number of years in the work of the Electro-Technical Council of Ireland and is currently Chairman of the Council of ETCI.
Research Interests
Design of novel electrical machines such as Switched Reluctance motors, Computer aided analysis of non-linear magnetic circuits.
