Biography

Professor Drudy's particular area of expertise is the sociology of education. Professor Drudy has lectured and examined across courses in the School. Her publications include books and papers on the influence of social class, gender and disability on educational participation and achievement.

Research

Research Interests

Professor Drudy's research involves the study of entrance to the teaching profession, social justice and diversity in teaching, inclusive education, and policy analysis in the field of disability. She is also been involved in research into teacher induction and development education.
She has widespread and lengthy experience in the supervision of research at Masters and PhD levels. The research supervised includes completed theses on the influence of social class, gender, disability and ethnicity on education, and school and labour market links, at Masters and PhD levels.
