Outreach Activities

Viscera Film Festival. A selection of shorts from this festival, which promotes the work of female filmmakers in horror, was screened at the Observatory in University College Dublin on May 18th 2012. The event was hosted by Dr Emma Radley, and featured a roundtable discussion on the topic of women in horror with scholars in the field, Shannon Lark (organiser of Viscera) and Rebecca Day (direction of The Other Side of Sleep).

Research Interests

My research and teaching interests are in the area of Irish film and visual culture, psychoanalytic theory, gender and sexuality, new technologies in film and media, cult cinema, and issues surrounding the body in spectatorship.
