Eda graduated from the Department of City and Regional Planning at Middle East Technical University-Turkey, in 2000. She has a MS degree in Economics in 2003 from the same university. Her master's thesis is related to the area of urban economics and is entitled "Hedonic Price Analysis of Office Rents: A Case Study of the Office Market in Ankara". After receiving her MS degree, she had continued with the PhD program in Economics at Middle East Technical University till the end of 2006. From September 2007, she has been enrolled to the PhD program in the UCD School of Geography, Planning and Environmental Policy. Her current research is related to the sub-project Urban Sprawl which is carried out under Urban Environment Project funded by Environmental Protection Agency. She is also taking part in the PLUREL-EU 6th Framework Project-which finances and contributes to her PhD research. In her PhD thesis, she is mainly focused on economic impacts of transportation infrastructure provision on land development in the Greater Dublin Area. She is supervised by Dr. Brendan Williams and Dr. Enda Murphy.
