Biography

I am a Postdoctoral Fellow associated with the School of Mathematical Sciences and the Claude Shannon Institute for Discrete Mathematics, Coding and Cryptography.  My position is funded by the Irish Research Council and Marie Curie Actions under the ELEVATE programme.  Currently, I am in my international outgoing phase at the Institute of Algebra, Dresden University of Technology, Germany.

Previously I was a postdoctoral associate in the SFI PI Grant on Public-Key Cryptography Based on Finite Simple Semirings, funded by Science Foundation Ireland.  Before joining the Claude Shannon Institute in Dublin, I was a doctoral student at the University of Zurich, Switzerland, and a member of the Applied Algebra group led by Joachim Rosenthal at the Mathematics Institute.

I am interested in algebra and its applications in public-key cryptography and channel coding theory.  In particular, my research interests comprise: Discrete Logarithms, Function Field Sieve. Simple Semirings. Public-Key Cryptography using Semigroup Actions. Codes over Rings. Pseudocodewords.
