After completion of my M.Sc. studies in Molecular Biology (5 years) in Italy, I successfully achieved two Ph.D. degrees: the first in Animal Pharmacological and Toxicological Sciences at the University Federico II, Naples, and the second in Biomedical and Computer Engineering at Magna Graecia University, Catanzaro. During this last Ph.D., I decided to improve my skills in mass spectrometry and chromatographic techniques spending a period as visiting scientist in Yates`s Lab, Scripps Research Institute, San Diego, California.From 2012 to the end of 2015 I joined UCD, as Post-Doctoral Research Fellow level II in Systems Biology Ireland, under the advisorship of Prof. Walter Kolch, being involved in PRIMES (Protein Interaction Machines in EGFR Signaling) (FP7-HEALTH-2011-two-stage), focusing on the identification of protein-protein interaction network related to EGFR network by mass spectrometry (Q-Exactive, Thermo).
I joined the Biomedical Proteomic Team, held by Prof. Stephen Pennington, in the early January 2016, as Research Fellow on an Enterprise Ireland grant. Here my work is focused on the discovery and validation of blood protein signature, by MRM/MS, able to discriminate if prostate cancer is organ confined or has spread beyond the prostate.

Previously I was PD2 in Systems Biology Ireland, involved in PRIMES (Protein Interaction Machines in EGFR Signalling) (FP7-HEALTH-2011-two-stage).PRIMES focused on the role of protein interactions to assemble dynamic molecular machines that receive and process information to coordinate cellular responses.
