Dr Claire Connolly studied medicine at University College Cork from where she graduated in 1996. She initially spent several years working in the area of medicine for the elderly. She trained as a GP with the Mersey Deanery, Liverpool, graduating in 2006. Dr Connolly joined UCD in 2011, she lectures for the Department of Academic General Practice where she is also responsible for GEM student placements. She is a practicing GP based in the Windmill Medical Centre, Skerries. Dr Connolly¿s special interests include medical education, dermatology, women¿s health and medicine for the elderly.
