Teaching

Teaching Philosophy

I believe that it is important to apply aspects of practice to education to ensure students have an understanding, awareness and education of how the substantive issues will apply to their everyday work practice. This is achieved by engaging and interacting with students through discussion and case study work.

Enhancement of Teaching

Feedback is taken on every lecture given. Modules are examined every year to take into account both feedback, changes in industry and module descriptors to ensure that teaching and learning are in line with changes to the profession and taking into account the opinions of students. Feedback will also be looped back into changes in teaching where necessary to ensure the most optimum delivery of teaching to students.

Review and Enhancement of Curriculum

Developing as a Teacher

As a practising Barrister, I am obliged to remain up to date through a CPD Scheme which involves attendance at workshops and lectures. My work entails remaining up to date with relevant changes in law and cases. In addition, my membership of relevant groups and committees allows a feed back of up to date knowledge to students and engage them in problem based, solution orientated learning.
