Biography

Dr. Brian J. Rodriguez is currently a Senior Lecturer in the School of Physics and a Conway Fellow at the Conway Institute of Biomolecular and Biomedical Research at University College Dublin. He completed his Ph.D. in Physics at North Carolina State University in 2003 and subsequently held postdoctoral appointments at North Carolina State University and at Oak Ridge National Laboratory. In 2007, he received an Alexander von Humboldt fellowship and carried out his research at the Max Planck Institute of Microstructure Physics in Halle, Germany. He is the author of more than 100 scientific papers in the field of scanning probe microscopy and piezoresponse force microscopy of ferroelectric materials, polar nitride semiconductors, and biological systems.
