| Stephen Quinlan an IRCHSS Government of Ireland PhD candidate at the UCD School of Politics and International Relations (SPIRe). Previously, he completed a BA (Hons) in Politics and History at University College Dublin in 2006 and a First Class Honours MA in Comparative Politics in 2007. He then went on to serve as a Research Assistant at the UCD Public Opinion and Political Behaviour Programme in the year preceding the commencement of his PhD He commenced the Structured PhD programme in September 2008 and is based in the UCD Geary Institute. The focus of his PhD research is youth electoral disengagement in a comparative context. He is also currently involved in research on political party patronage in a comparative European context and on Irish electoral behaviour. |
