Biography:
Anne Drummond qualified as a nurse and midwife, and subsequently worked for many years in general nursing in Ireland and abroad, in both public and private sectors. While working in the healthcare sector she developed an interest in occupational safety and health (OSH), and commenced part-time tutoring in UCD. In 1995 Anne took up a newly created administrative position as Assistant to the Academic Directors in the UCD Centre for Safety and Health at Work (CSHW). She was appointed college lecturer in the CSHW in 2001, Academic Director of the Centre in 2002, UCD Head of Subject in Occupational Safety and Health in 2009, reappointed Director of the Centre in 2009, and senior lecturer in the School of PHPS 2009. She is a member of the School Executive and the School Management team, and was appointed Head of Teaching and Learning for the School in 2005.
