BA (Hons), Dubl., Ph.D, Dubl. President of the Women's History Assoication of Ireland www.whai.ie I hold a BA (Hons) and a Ph.D from the School of History and Humanities, TCD. I lecture on Irish Women¿s History and Gender History on the Women's Studies Masters and Undergraduate Programmes, School of Social Justice, UCD. My research interests include Irish women and power, female representations and identities in Irish History, feminist and gender historiography and Irish feminist histories and biographies, oral histories, and I have published widely in these areas. My most recent co-edited book is the Palgrave Advances in Irish History (2010) and she has published a biography on Senator Kathleen Browne 1876-1943. I am on the Advisory Committee of Justice for Magdalenes (http://www.magdalenelaundries.com/about.htm). I have been President of the Women's History Association of Ireland (www.whai.ie) since May, 2011. I have recently been appointed a member of the National Archives (of Ireland) Advisory Committee (NAAC) and am a member of the 1913 Commemoration Committee.
