Biography

Barbara Gallagher qualified from University College Dublin (UCD) in 2005. After three years in a busy small animal clinic in the UK, she returned to UCD to undertake a residency in Small Animal Medicine. She was awarded a Diploma from the European College of Veterinary Internal Medicine - Companion Animals (ECVIM-CA) in 2012. After obtaining her ECVIM-CA diploma Barbara remained on staff as a clinician in the Small Animal Medicine and the Intensive Care department for some time, she also worked overseas as a Small Animal Medicine Registrar at Murdoch University, Western Australia before returning to UCD as a Lecturer in Small Animal Medicine in 2014. Research interests include feline medicine, endocrinology, nephrology and student teaching.
