Commercialise Your Research

Commercialise Your Research

The University’s long standing commitment to innovation is reflected in an environment at UCD which encourages the translation of creative research ideas into solutions addressing needs of the economy and of society.

UCD Research and Innovation is dedicated to supporting innovation throughout the University. We do this by supporting the UCD research community to:

  • Identify valuable research results and implement protection strategies
  • Explore commercialisation opportunities through licensing and spin-out company formation, development and growth
  • Develop productive collaborations with industry.

The members of the Technology Transfer and Enterprise Development teams based at NovaUCD draw on their network of patent agents, legal experts, industry and business leaders and investors, to support UCD researchers to identify, protect and commercially exploit their research outputs. They also provide a series of business support programmes for research entrepreneurs who are establishing, developing and growing UCD spin-out companies.
