The members of the Technology Transfer and Enterprise Development teams based at NovaUCD draw on their network of patent agents, legal experts, industry and business leaders and investors, to support UCD researchers to identify, protect and commercially exploit their research outputs. They also provide a series of business support programmes for research entrepreneurs who are establishing, developing and growing UCD spin-out companies.

Ciaran leads the technology transfer team responsible for identifying, protecting and commercialising intellectual property (IP) either through licensing and/or new venture creation, negotiating IP terms in agreements and supporting research proposals.
