Centre for Synthesis and Chemical Biology

The Centre for Synthesis and Chemical Biology is a collaboration in the chemical sciences between UCD, Trinity College Dublin and the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland.


Centre for BioNanoInteractions

Centre for BioNanoInteractions (CBNI) is one of the world’s leading centres of knowledge for bionanointeractions applied to the fields of nanosafety, nanobiology and nanomedicine, and is pioneering many of the new techniques and approaches in the arena.

CLARITY is a ground breaking research centre focusing on the ‘Sensor Web’, which captures the intersection between two research areas: Adaptive Sensing and Information Discovery.


Clique

Clique is a Strategic Research Cluster focussed on graph and network analysis and visualisation. Working with a range of industrial partners including IBM, Idiro and Norkom, the technology developed by Clique will be applied in internet services, fraud detection and bioinformatics.


Financial Mathematics and Computation Cluster (FMC2)

FMC2 brings together complementary expertise in financial mathematics, financial economics and computer science to create a multi-disciplinary research programme in asset and risk management, areas of critical importance to the future development of the international financial services sector in Ireland.


 Institute of Biomedical Informatics (IBI)

A new all-Ireland institute, the Institute of Biomedical Informatics (IBI) has been established to conduct research and develop international standards in biomedical informatics.

 Irish Drug Delivery Network 

The Irish Drug Delivery Network (IDDN) is a network of scientists, led by David Brayden, Professor of Drug Delivery at UCD. The IDDN has received major funding to advance research efforts to replace injections with oral and inhaled versions of biotech molecules (e.g. proteins and gene-based medicines).
