About NIBRT

NIBRT’s training mission is to develop and deliver world class training solutions that are specifically focused on the needs of the bioprocessing industry. The Institute’s research strategy is focused on the design, development and optimisation of bioprocesses for the safe and economic manufacture
of biopharmaceuticals.

Funding

NIBRT is funded by the IDA Ireland with a mandate to support the development of the existing bioprocessing industry in Ireland and to attract additional bioprocessing companies to Ireland. Construction of NIBRT’s new state-of-the-art facility which will be located in UCD’s Innovation Park is scheduled to commence in late 2009.

Outputs

As well as Masters courses and customised programmes, NIBRT develops and delivers world class training solutions specifically focused on the needs of the bioprocessing industry. Modules can be delivered remotely, online and via distance learning to provide the flexibility that is required by clients.

Collaboration

NIBRT is based on an innovative collaboration between University College Dublin, Trinity College Dublin, Dublin City University and Institute of Technology Sligo.
