The President’s Research Fellowship Scheme offers the academic community in UCD the opportunity to apply for research fellowships, by facilitating the recipient to take sabbatical leave to commit their time to a specified research project (on full pay).
The President’s Research Fellowship Scheme is intended to support those whose professional development as researchers would benefit from a period of focused research and is intended to enhance UCD’s research reputation internationally. The evaluation process takes into account where the research will take place and preference is given to those whose fellowship application includes a period of research in another institution.
These research Fellowships are intended to support substantive research projects, leading to a peer-reviewed publication, monograph, patent or other significant research output and are awarded based on a highly competitive process. Fellowships are not normally awarded to individuals more than once in any five-year period.
