REC becomes a member of the Association of Research Ethics Committees

The UCD Research Ethics Committee recently became a member of the Association of Research Ethics Committees - a charity organisation which aims at fostering excellence in research involving human participants that will enhance human health or well-being.

The UCD Research Ethics Committee recently became a member of the Association of Research Ethics Committees (AREC) - a charity organisation which aims are to foster excellence in research involving human participants that will enhance human health or well-being.

AREC is an independent, self-governing body of Research Ethics Committees, local and multi-centre, including their members and administrators. The organisation provides workshops, conferences and in-house training on matters pertaining to research ethics area.

The University Forum is the organisation's subcommittee devoted to considering all issues relating specifically to the University REC community.
