UCD Access & Lifelong Learning

The UCD Access & Lifelong Learning Centre delivers a range of initiatives to facilitate widening participation in UCD, including outreach, admissions and student support.

The Centre co-ordinates the Disability Access Route to Education (DARE) and the Higher Education Access Route (HEAR) admissions schemes.

The ethos of the UCD Access & Lifelong Learning Centre is to foster an inclusive educational environment and to facilitate students to become independent learners who engage fully in college life in UCD. As a result of this, a range of personal and academic supports have been devised for students from the HEAR scheme (socio-economically disadvantaged backgrounds) and students with disabilities.

A number of rooms are reserved for students on the DARE and HEAR admission schemes.

Please contact the UCD Access & Lifelong Learning Centre for information on applying for these rooms.

Reserved rooms for students on the DARE/HEAR schemes differ in size and in nature. UCD Residences have a number of purpose built accessible rooms for students who are wheelchair users or have a physical disability. As we have a number of different locations with varying room types we recommend that prior to booking you make contact with the team in the booking office to discuss your particular needs and we can advise accordingly.
