I have not received a UCD student number yet. Can I still apply for accommodation?
CAO students can apply in May before they have received their UCD student number. All other students need to have accepted your full offer to UCD and have received your UCD number before you can access the application process.
What do I do if I am unsuccessful?
Students can opt to join the waiting list and will be offered accommodation on a first come first serve basis as it becomes available. We anticipate that there will be additional availability for CAO students in Aug once the CAO offers are released. As the waiting list is open to all CAO students it is our experience that even students with a ranking of over 3,000 on the list can get an offer of accommodation. In our experience rooms continue to come available into September. The waiting list will be automated and will offer rooms that come available to students based on their ranking. There will be a window in which students will be able to log on, accept their offer and choose their room. For those who are unsuccessful we have an accommodation office to assit you in your search. Further details on the campus office and accommodation can be found on our off-campus accommodation web page.
What if I apply but do not pay the deposit?
No application is complete without the payment of the deposit and you will not be able to proceed to book a room until this payment is received. If you pay by cheque or transfer you will not be able to proceed to book your room until the payment has been received thus availability can not be guarenteed.
What if I wish to cancel my room allocation or vacate the accommodation during the occupancy period? If you wish to cancel your room offer, you must submit a UCD on campus room cancellation form which can be obtained by following the link below.
An official cancellation must be made using the cancellation form (cancellations by phone or email will not be accepted).
The completed cancellation form must sent by email (to residences@ucd.ie), Fax (to +353 1 716 1154) or handed into the Accommodation office.

A number of rooms are reserved for those students with physical and sensory needs. To see if you are eligible your first course of action should be to contact the disability support office who will discuss your needs and will then advise the accommodation office.
How do you decide who lives together?Rooms are booked by students themselves on the live booking system via the SIS web. Each apartment will generally have a mix of students living together. We will endeavor to give you basic information on the profile of students already booked into an apartment (e.g. first year, second year, postgraduate, male, female)
