[Results] UCD Air Open II 2011

UCD Air Open II 2011 was held on the 24th and 27th of March 2011 in the UCD Rifle Club Range Belfield.

Congratulations to all of the shooters who took part, there was some great shooting done over the the two days with with a high standard at all classes. UCD did very well taking medals in all classes we were entered in.

UCD Air Open II 2011 [Mar 24-27]

UCD Rifle Club are pleased to announce that we will hold the UCD Air Open II 2011, on Thursday 24th and Sunday 27th of March 2011 at UCD Rifle Club Range, UCD, Belfield.

This is an open competition for 10 metre Air Rifle and Air Pistol.

Competitions:

  • Air Rifle 60 shot
  • Air Rifle 40 shot
  • Air Pistol 60 shot

Class prizes will also be presented (based on the first 40 competition shots).

Entry fee: €15 (€10 students/juniors)

Pre-booking is essential.

All entries and enquiries should be directed to ucdrifleclub@gmail.com

UCD Rifle Club win Air Rifle Intervarsities and Colours 2011

The 2011 Air Rifle Intervarsities and Colours were held on Saturday, 5th of March 2011, in Wilkinstown Target Shooting Club, Wilkinstown, Co. Meath.

The Intervarsities is split into three sections, the novice or junior squad, the senior squad and the overall which is the combination of the novice and senior squads scores. UCD took a clean sweep for a second year in a row by winning all three sections.

After an incredibly highly scoring five details, UCDRC finished with a total score of 5307 beating out DURC (Trinity) by 135 points in total. The average score for the Junior squad was 524.67, the highest junior squad average ever achieved by UCDRC the competition.

UCD Rifle Club Committee would like to thank everyone who was involved in this great success, the coaches Anthony Corballis, Gerry Power, Dave Cooney and Geoff Cooney, the range officers who put in such time and effort and all of our shooters who's pure hard work and dedication has achieved this outstanding result for a second year running.
