Notification Of Accidents / Incidents
All accidents, near misses and incidents of property damage must be notified to the Safety Office on the day of the occurrence or as soon is practicable thereafter using an official accident report form. These forms are available from Services Centres or can be requested from safety@ucd.ie.
The University is obliged to report to the statutory authorities a number of designated safety and environmental related incidents. It is therefore vital that all accidents, incidents and near misses are reported promptly to ensure that the University is compliant in fulfilling its statutory accident reporting duties.
