Elaine Keogh, now in Stage 4 of B.Sc. Hons Pharmacology, was awarded the Roddy Monks prize in recognition of excellence in the practical component of her Stage 3 studies.
The prize was awarded to her by Dr. Breandan Kennedy, Head of Pharmacology in the School of Biomolecular & Biomedical Science, at a final year pharmacology careers event. The event was attended by Roddy's widow, Trish, who was shown the plaque (images below) noting all recipients of the award.
About the Roddy Monks Prize
This prize is in memory of Roddy Monks, who was a Senior Technician in the Department of Pharmacology. It is awarded to the Stage 3 student in Pharmacology who obtains the highest grade in the practical component of the course.
