Biography:
| 2009 - Present Lecturer in Infection Biology, University College Dublin 2004 - 2009 Postdoctoral Fellow, University of California San Francisco 2006 Postdoctoral Teaching Fellow, San Francisco State University 2004 Postdoctoral Fellow, University of Dublin, Trinity College1999 - 2004 PhD in Microbiology, University of Dublin, Trinity College 1995-1999 BA (Mod) Microbiology, University of Dublin, Trinity College |
Research Interests
| Current research in my lab is concerned with analysing the interaction of commensal and pathogenic streptococci and staphylococci with glycoproteins and glycolipids on the surface of host cells. Analysis of this interaction will help us to understand how these bacteria make the transition from a commensal to a pathogenic state. |
