Scoil an Léinn Eolais agus na Leabharlannaíochta UCD

New Master’s of Science degree in Information Systems beginning Autumn 2012.

The aims of this programme include:

  • Educating the next generation of information professionals, including Chief Information Officers, who effectively capture, organize, protect, archive, and appropriately disseminate information critical to an organization’s success;
  • Educating the next generation of information professionals who can create transformative enterprises and services in the fields of information and social computing; and
  • Educating the next generation of infomration professionals and leaders in public service, inlcuding NGOs, government agencies and non-profits

Students applying to the programme must have completed an undergraduate degree. Information about English langauge requirements for international students can be found here.


Courses (modules) that are part of the 90- Credit MSc programme offer opportunities to interact with professionals and organizations outside academia. For example, students will have the opportunity to collaborate on a 30-credit capstone project working with businesses and non-profit organizations.
