The SILS Community Network (SCN) is an online support network, which connects incoming first year Information & Social Computing students with students in Stage 2.
If you are a first year, our Stage 2 volunteers - SILS Colleagues - are there to help you to find your feet at SILS.
- They can share with you their experiences and insights about UCD and SILS.
- They can answer those queries about life at UCD and SILS that you didn't know who to ask.
- They are there to be friendly colleagues.
- They can refer you on to appropriate resources and support services.
Communications between you and your SILS Colleague are mainly online: by Facebook, Twitter. There are online tutorials to get you started.
