Programmes at SILS
Whether you are beginning your university education or continuing your education, SILS offers an array of educational opportunities to meet the needs of students as they develop their skills and deepen their understanding of our field.
Our Undergraduate Programmes provide essential training for the cutting edge information professional.
Our Postgraduate programmes offer professional as well as research education. Students can build on their undergraduate degree in information studies, information and library studies, or any other subject, and obtain a Masters in Library and Information Science (MLIS), a Master's of Arts (MA), a Master's of Letters (MLitt), or a Doctorate of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree. The MLIS degree prepares students for careers in the information professions. The MA, MLitt and PhD degrees prepare students for careers in research and organizations where research skills are needed.
In addition, SILS offers occasional modules for information professionals [link to Occasional students page].
