SILS Undergraduate Programme Details
Stage One Requirements |
SILS offers four modules at Stage 1 designed to provide a basic foundation in key areas of the subject. Students select a minimum of TWO Information and Social Computing level 1 modules to proceed to stage 2. At the end of first year, students may opt to take a joint major or minor in Information and Social Computing, or take a major in Library and Information Studies. Students who apply for the BA degree have the opportunity to declare a preference for a two subject joint major when they choose DN500 on their CAO form. If Information and Social Computing is chosen at this point, students will be automatically pre-registered for two Information and Social Computing level one modules, and guaranteed a place in both. If desired, students will have the option to change their module choices later, depending on availability. |
