The Mary Kelly* Equality Studies Scholarship

The Mary Kelly Equality Studies Scholarship will be awarded to a student entering the Masters/Graduate Diploma in Equality Studies who has an outstanding record of activism for equality and social justice.  

The €1,000 award is open to either part-time or full-time students commencing study in September 2012. All successful first-time-entrants to the Equality Studies Masters/Graduate Diploma in 2012 are eligible to apply if they have been actively involved in work (paid or unpaid) to promote equality and social justice.

If you are interested in being considered for the award, please send in a short (no more than 2 pages) statement of eligibility to Professor Kathleen Lynch, Equality Studies Centre, School of Social Justice, UCD, Belfield, Dublin 4 by post; or by email toKathleen.Lynch@ucd.ie  Please attach your Masters/Graduate Diploma application with the statement.  The final date for applying for the scholarship is Friday August 10th 2012

*Dr Mary Kelly of the Sociology Department in UCD played a founding role in establishing the Equality Studies Centre at UCD. This annual award has been established in her memory to honour her contribution and commitment to equality and social justice.
