Masculinities, Care and Equality: Identity and Nurture in Men’s Lives by Dr. Niall Hanlon was published by Palgrave MacMillan in July 2012.

The book is based on Dr. Hanlon's PhD thesis, which he completed under the supervision of Kathleen Lynch at the UCD School of Social Justice. It explores men's ambiguous relationship with intimate caring work within a context where carefree and nurturing expectations for men are competing for influence.
