Biography:
BSc (NUI); M Equal St (NUI); PhD (NUI), HDip Ed. (NUI) Co-ordinator of the Equality Studies Outreach programmes since 1997; worked colloboratively through partnerships between Equality Studies and a range of organisations and institions including Queen's University Belfast, Waterford IT, Blanchardstown IT; has worked with Government Departments and national statutory and NGO agencies such as the Health Service Executive, National Training and Development Institute, National Adult Literacy Association, Age and Opportunity, Traveller Organisations including Pavee Point, and a range of local development and community organisations and education providers including Co. Wicklow VEC; jointly managed the innovative Cross Border funded project, LEIS (Literacy in Irish Society) from 2004-2006 (Equality Studies Centre, UCD and Queen's University Belfast) to develop teaching and learning resources for literacy tutors that focus on issues of equality |
