Structured Electives in the UCD School of Social Justice

From 2011, graduates who have completed at least 15 credits of undergraduate electives offered by the School of Social Justice will have this noted on their final UCD transcripts as the completion of

Structured Electives in Social Justice.

Please note the following points:

  1. Because your other degree requirements take precedence, we cannot guarantee that you will be able to complete Structured Electives in Social Justice. However, we will continue to try to time table our electives at convenient times.
  2. There is no need to register for the recognition of Structured Electives in advance and you do not need to apply for this recognition subsequently. If you have completed the requirements by the time you finish your degree, it will included in your final transcript.
  3. The electives do not have to be taken in any order. If, in the future, any module is considered to be a prerequisite for any other, this will be indicated in the module descriptor.
  4. In the unusual case of a School module forming an option in your major subject, it cannot also be counted towards Structured Electives.
  5. A full list of current School electives is available on the School webpage under ‘Undergraduate Programmes’. Electives may change from one year to the next.

Thank you for your interest in Social Justice. We hope that acknowledging your Structured Electives will be helpful to you in the future.
