Professor Jim Campbell has recently co-edited (with Dr Anne-Marie Sawyer, Latrobe University and Dr Sonya Stanford, University of Tasmania) a special issue of Australian Social Work (69.2)  ‘Mental Health Social Work: Perspectives on Risk, Regulation, and Therapeutic Interventions’ ((opens in a new window)http://www.tandfonline.com/doi/full/10.1080/0312407X.2015.1129428)

This special issue followed from a series of international seminars, organised by Monash University, on ‘Beyond the Risk Paradigm’. This enabled social work academics to explore the concept of risk within three domains: mental health social work, family and child care social work and social work in systems of criminal justice. Three edited texts are also due to be published on these topics.
