Iarfhlaith Watson discusses the John Crymble Murder on TG4

Idir Mná (Amongst Women) is a new six part series investigating high profile murder cases which resulted in women becoming incarcerated within the Irish prison system.

The programme examines the cases of six women and using a panel of experts and social commentators aims to answer some of the broader social issues associated with crime and female killers. Areas such as family structures, domestic violence, media and the psychology of a female killer are explored.

Experts included Criminologist Paul O'Mahony, Psychiatrist Dr Siobhán Barry, Professor of Law Ivana Bacik and Enda Dooley the Director of Prison Healthcare.

Dr Watson appeared on Episode 3 dealing with the 2004 Crymble murder in Armagh and focussed on the area of greed and materialism.

The programme was first aired on Thursday 29 September 2011 and was repeated on Monday 3 October 2011.

It is also available on the TG4 Player under ‘Faisnéis’/’Documentaries’.
