Spanish Book Launch - 'Reluctant Modernization: Plebeian Culture and Moral Economy in the Basque Country'
A Spanish edition of Andreas Hess’ book has been launched in the municipal library of Mutriku, Gipuzkoa (Basque Country). The mayor of Mutriku welcomed the local audience and Professor Ludger Mees, former vice-chancellor of the University of the Basque Country, introduced the book. Also present were the writer and founder of the Basque publishing house Hiria, Luis Haramburu Altuna, and Mayte Martin, the translator of the book. Both Basque radio and the local press reported the event.
