Seminar: 'Sociology of Love'
Professor Tom Inglis will hold a seminar, "Sociology of Love", in room G315 on Thursday, 20th of November at 16:00.
Professor Inglis will discuss how popular cultural interest in love is not reflected in sociology, how a cursory glance across the history of sociology would suggest that sociologists are far more concerned with understanding power and domination rather than that which is at the heart of social life.

Tom Inglis was a recepient of the 2008 President’s Research Fellowship Scheme. The scheme is intended to support those whose research and professional development as researchers would benefit from a period of focused research and aims to enhance UCD’s reputation internationally as a research-intensive university.
